- 20003 Authentication Failed The Account SID or Auth Token provided is incorrect or has been revoked. Verify your credentials in the Twilio Console.
- 20404 Resource Not Found The requested Twilio resource does not exist. Verify the SID or identifier in your request URL.
- 20429 Too Many Requests You have exceeded the API rate limit. Implement exponential backoff and retry after the delay indicated in the Retry-After header.
- 21211 Invalid 'To' Phone Number The 'To' phone number is not a valid phone number. Ensure the number is in E.164 format (e.g. +14155552671).
- 21214 'To' Number Is Not a Mobile Number The destination number does not appear to be a mobile number. SMS cannot be delivered to landlines.
- 21408 Permission to Send an SMS Has Not Been Enabled The sending account does not have geographic permission enabled to send SMS to the destination country. Enable it in the Twilio Console under Messaging Geographic Permissions.
- 21608 Phone Number Not Capable of Sending to Destination The 'From' number is not enabled for the destination you are attempting to reach. Enable the capability in the Twilio Console or use a different number.
- 21614 'To' Number Is Not a Valid Mobile Number The destination number is not a valid mobile number and cannot receive SMS messages.
- 30001 Queue Overflow Your Twilio message queue is full. Your message was not queued because you are sending faster than Twilio can process. Reduce the rate of message sending.
- 30002 Account Suspended Your Twilio account has been suspended. Contact Twilio support to resolve the issue and reinstate your account.
- 30003 Unreachable Destination Handset The destination handset is switched off or otherwise unavailable. The message may be delivered later if the device comes back online, depending on carrier retry policies.
- 30004 Message Blocked The destination number has opted out of receiving messages, or the carrier has blocked delivery. Respect opt-out requests and do not retry to numbers that have blocked your messages.
- 30005 Unknown Destination Handset The destination number is unknown or no longer active. Verify the phone number is correct and still in service.
- 30006 Landline or Unreachable Carrier The destination number is a landline or is served by a carrier that cannot receive SMS. Verify the number supports SMS before sending.
- 30007 Carrier Violation The message was identified as spam or violated a carrier content rule and was blocked. Review your message content, opt-out handling, and sending patterns.
- 30008 Unknown Error An unknown error occurred during message delivery. This may be a transient carrier issue; retry the message after a delay.
- 30009 Missing Segment One or more segments of a multi-part (concatenated) SMS were not received by the carrier. Retry the full message.
- 30010 Message Price Exceeds Max Price The cost of sending the message exceeds the max_price parameter you specified. Increase max_price or remove the limit.
- 51007 Voice Call Rate Limit Exceeded The account has exceeded the maximum number of simultaneous active calls allowed. Increase capacity limits or queue outbound calls.
